AI marketing agency

The output of three marketers.
Without three hires.

Open Assistant is a team of AI agents that learns your brand and your voice, then produces and publishes your marketing week after week. You keep the strategy and the brand. You stop carrying the execution alone.

Why marketing keeps slipping

There is always something
more urgent than marketing.

Ask a business owner when they last posted, and you usually get an apologetic smile. A customer needed something. A quote had to go out. A problem had to be solved today. Marketing quietly moves to next week — until the month is over and nothing went out.

How it goes now

  • Content depends on whoever happens to have an hour free
  • Three or four AI subscriptions, none of them talking to each other
  • Every post starts from a blank page and your own energy
  • Hiring a marketer is a €50k+ decision you're not ready to make
  • An agency delivers, but the workflows and know-how stay with them

How it goes with agents

  • A weekly plan runs whether or not you had time this week
  • One connected system, aware of your brand, tone and calendar
  • Drafts arrive finished — you approve or adjust, you don't start
  • A fraction of a hire, scaling with output instead of headcount
  • The setup, the data and the automations stay in your name
What the agents actually do

Not a chatbot. A team that ships work.

Nine specialised agents, each with the right tools and access. They don't just answer questions — they run multi-step marketing work end to end, in the tools your team already uses.

Content production

  • Blog posts, social copy and email — in your brand voice
  • SEO-driven, from keyword research through to publish
  • Dutch, French and English output
  • Content calendar kept and maintained

Social scheduling

  • Drafting, image prompts and scheduling
  • LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X
  • Comment monitoring with drafted replies
  • A month of content from a single brief

Email campaigns

  • Campaign drafting and segmentation logic
  • Personalisation at scale from your CRM
  • Follow-up sequences that keep running
  • Works with Outlook, Gmail and your ESP

SEO workflows

  • Keyword research and competitor gap analysis
  • Briefs generated and assigned automatically
  • Internal linking and on-page checks
  • Monthly performance reporting

88+ integrations

  • Outlook, Gmail and your current ESP
  • Google and Outlook calendars
  • Notion, Google Docs, OneDrive, Drive
  • Any REST API through the plugin system

Work that runs itself

  • Scheduled jobs: daily, weekly, monthly
  • Voice note → CRM entry via WhatsApp
  • Multi-step workflows, not single answers
  • Every action logged and reviewable
Two ways to start

We set it up with you, or you set it up yourself.

Same foundation, two entry points. Most teams start with the services track. Developers who want to self-host can skip straight to the repository — it's the same software either way.

Track B — done with you

You want the output.

business owner · ops lead · marketing lead · 5–50 people
  • We map your operations and tools in a one-day intake
  • We set the content strategy with you — voice, audience, channels
  • We deploy to production on infrastructure in your name
  • We leave; the assistant keeps working — and we're there if you need us
  • We work in Dutch, French and English
  • No technical knowledge required on your side
Track A — do it yourself

You want the control.

developer · technical lead · sovereignty-conscious
  • One-command Docker install, runs on any server
  • Full source access under BSL 1.1
  • All 88+ integrations included, no feature gating
  • Connect any REST API with a plugin, no code required
  • Your keys, your database, your data residency
  • Docs and community support on GitHub
The services track

Four steps. Live in days, not months.

Each step ends with something you keep, and what we leave behind keeps working — with us there if you need us.

Step 1 · Intake

Map the work

We go through your marketing operations and the tools you already use, and agree what the agents take over first.

your operations, your tools
Step 2 · Strategy

Set the direction

Your voice, your audiences, your channels — and what actually goes out each week, so the agents produce work you would sign off on.

voice · audience · channels
Step 3 · Configuration

Build and connect

Agents configured against your profile, integrations connected, everything running on infrastructure in your name.

agents · integrations · your server
Step 4 · Handover

We leave. The assistant stays.

It keeps working in the company once the engagement ends. No retainer required — and we're there if you need us.

no lock-in
Under the hood

Simple to use. Fully open to inspect.

You don't need to understand any of this to work with us — but it's here, and your developer or IT partner can check every line of it. That's the difference between renting a marketing team and owning one.

your-server:~ · self-host in one command
$ git clone github.com/open-assistant-org/open-assistant
$ cd open-assistant && cp .env.example .env
$ docker compose up -d

# running on http://localhost:8000
# db: ./data/app.db · yours to copy, back up, move
# keys: encrypted at rest, never leave your box
  • self-hosted Docker, one command, on your own server or your own cloud account. Nothing depends on us staying online.
  • EU by default Hetzner data centres in Germany and Finland. Your data does not transit US servers.
  • BSL 1.1 Source-available. Read it, audit it, fork it, run it. For internal business use that's effectively open source.
  • your keys API keys and tokens encrypted at rest with Fernet, OAuth2 for every integration — stored on your infrastructure.
  • portable SQLite database you can copy. Stop the managed service and everything keeps running without us.
  • no telemetry The software does not phone home. Every AI action is written to an audit log you control.
Working together

A short engagement, then it's yours.

We set it up, hand it over, and stay reachable. Running it costs what it uses — the software itself carries no licence fee. We go through the numbers on the call.

Then

Managed platform

We host it and you pay for what your agents actually use. No per-seat pricing, no minimum term.

hosted by us · cancel anytime
Or

Self-hosted

The same software on your own infrastructure under BSL 1.1. Your keys, your database, your provider.

your infrastructure · full source access

No commitment. We'll cover scope, fit and numbers on the 30-minute call.

Trust & transparency

Open by default. EU by design.

We're not asking you to trust a black box. The code is public, the data stays in Europe, and the licence is short enough for your lawyer to actually read.

GDPR by architecture

Data residency on EU infrastructure and a full audit log of every AI action. The only outbound calls are to the LLM provider you choose and the services you connect yourself.

A licence you can read

Business Source Licence 1.1 is source-available: you may read, run and modify the code for your own use. The only restriction is reselling it as a competing service. Read the licence →

You hold the keys

Credentials encrypted at rest, OAuth2 for every integration, and all of it stored on your infrastructure rather than ours. We can't see your data.

🇪🇺 EU data residency — Hetzner DE & FI ⚖️ BSL 1.1 licence 📡 Zero telemetry 📦 Source on GitHub
On the EU AI Act

Open Assistant is a foundation tool, not a high-risk AI system as defined by the EU AI Act. Using it for marketing automation falls under ordinary operational software governance. We keep documentation available to support your compliance team or DPO.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need to be technical to work with you?
No. The services track exists precisely for non-technical owners, ops leads and marketing leads. The intake day is a business conversation, not a technical specification session. We handle the implementation; you make the business decisions. If you have a developer or IT partner, they're welcome to review everything — but nothing requires them.
Will this actually replace hiring a marketer?
It replaces most of the execution, not the judgement. You still decide the positioning, the offers and the priorities — that's the part worth your time. What the agents take over is the production and publishing that keeps slipping: drafting, scheduling, sequencing, reporting, follow-up. Teams typically end up spending well under a day a month steering it rather than several days a week doing it.
How does it learn our brand voice?
During the intake and strategy days we build a voice and brand profile from what you already have: existing posts, your website, sales material, and the way you talk about your work. The agents write against that profile, and every draft you correct feeds back into it. The first weeks involve more editing than the later ones — that's expected and by design.
Where is my data stored?
By default on Hetzner EU infrastructure — data centres in Germany and Finland — and you can choose the region. Your data does not transit US servers. The only outbound calls are to the LLM provider you configure (Anthropic, OpenAI, or a local Ollama instance) and the services you explicitly connect, such as Gmail, Outlook or Notion.
Can I move off later if I want to?
Yes, by design. The database, the codebase under BSL 1.1, the OAuth credentials and the server are all in your name. Stopping the managed service deletes nothing — you keep operating the foundation yourself, or hand it to an internal developer or another partner.
How long until something is actually live?
A handful of days, not months. We map the work, set the content direction, then configure and connect everything — and at the end of it the assistant is running on your own infrastructure. We schedule those days around you, so the calendar time depends on your availability more than on us.
What does the free version include?
Everything the software does: one-command Docker install, all 88+ integrations, the full codebase and the documentation at docs.open-assistant.org. No time limit and no feature gating. You run it on your own server; the paid relationship is about us doing the work, not about unlocking features.
What about GDPR and the EU AI Act?
GDPR: the data sits on EU infrastructure, every AI action is logged with an audit trail, and you control all processing. Open Assistant stores no personal data beyond what your own integrations bring in, and that stays on your servers. EU AI Act: marketing automation is not a high-risk category. We keep documentation available for compliance reviews and suggest your DPO reviews the integration configuration on the configuration days.
Do you work in Dutch and French?
Yes. The team works in Dutch, French and English, and the agents produce content in all three. Belgium's linguistic reality is built into how we approach implementations — we don't treat it as a translation step at the end. This page is also available in Nederlands and Français.
